The Eastern Suburbs GP’s After Hours Clinic is a co-operative venture of General Practitioners in Melbourne’s Central East.

Since beginning operation in 1997 the Clinic has seen over 83,000 patients.

All of our General Practitioners are committed to providing quality care to you as an extension of the care provided by your usual General Practitioner.

With your consent, information relating to the consultation is sent to your usual practitioner immediately by fax, mail, or secure email, thereby giving the continuity of your care back to your own GP.

Infections including gastroenteritis, skin, respiratory, urine etc

Ear, nose or throat conditions

Repair of minor cuts and lacerations

Sprains and strains

Removal of superficial foreign objects and splinters

Skin infections or rashes

Emergency contraception advice

If you are suffering from Chest Pain please contact an ambulance or nearest Emergency Department

Appointments are not necessary (patients are seen in order of arrival unless it’s an emergency). Patients are encouraged to ring before attending so we can advise you of the best time to come in. During times of heavy demand we may not be able to see all patients.

This is an After Hours Medical Service only we recommend all patients have their own General Practitioner for ongoing care.

We are unable to perform Medicals for Pre-Employment, Fitness Assessments, Insurance forms etc. These generally require longer consultations and it is more appropriate for your own Doctor who has full knowledge of your medical history to perform these.
